DROUGHT FUNDRAISER SAT 28th SEPT 2019

FRIENDS of QUEENSLAND & NSW … STANTHORPE NEEDS YOUR HELP…

From battling the worst drought in living memory to recent bushfires, we invite you to our award-winning wine region which oozes fresh local produce to take part in this wonderful fundraiser event.

Saturday 28th of September the Granite Belt Christmas Farm will be hosting a fundraiser for the ‘Granite Belt Drought Assist’ to help provide water to rural residents.  The situation is dire and our community is struggling. This is a day for families and friends from far and wide to come together and show true ‘Aussie’ spirit.

Our local community is donating their time and services to this great cause in hope to raise $10,000 for the ‘Granite Belt Drought Assist’ and take our hats off to our local Applethorpe Rural Fire Brigade for their extraordinary efforts in fighting the recent bushfires.

Pack the Car, throw in a slab of water, bring your smiles and enjoy this great day filled with delicious food, spectacular bands, action packed activities & a ‘Thank you’ presentation from the mayor.

The official program will be released in the coming week.

MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT: Experience country hospitality at its best! Stanthorpe is surrounded by beautiful B&B’s, Motels and Retreats. Take a scenic drive around the Granite Belt and explore the diverse landscapes, cellar doors and gourmet food bowl that we have to offer.

The Applethorpe Rural Fire Brigade will be presented with a personal package each. If you are a business and would like to contribute to these packages please contact the event co-ordinator on 0412 826 842.
